In an effort to feature more of my science art, I plan to post individual beach plant identification card sketches. This plant is a saltbrush (Atriplex leucophylla), one of many plants that goes by this common name. It’s mostly a southern California plant. It flowers, although it’s not very showy, but the leaves are a pale silvery green.
